Migrate bc2adls from PTE to appsource extension

Since the beginning of this year (2026) bc2adls is available on appsource:
Microsoft Marketplace | cloud solutions, AI apps, and agents

But allot of users have already the PTE extension installed (Bertverbeek4PS/bc2adls: Exporting data from Dynamics 365 Business Central to Azure data lake storage or MS Fabric lakehouse) and used and want to migrate to appsource app without losing data that is already exported.
Because sometimes an initial load can take a while.

Well there is now a migration app to migrate you from the PTE extension to the appsource extension.
You can follow:

• Upgrade your existing BC2ADLS PTE extension to version 27.47.0 or later
  You can download it here:
  Bertverbeek4PS/bc2adls: Exporting data from Dynamics 365 Business Central to Azure data lake storage or MS Fabric lakehouse
  or you can add the internal visible dependency in the app.json:

• Install the new Azure Data Lake Storage Export (ADLSE) AppSource extension (minimal version 27.46.0):

• Install the PTE migration app here:
  Bertverbeek4PS/bc2adls_migration: Migration app for bc2adls from PTE extension to appsource extension. Support and contribution go to https://github.com/Bertverbeek4PS/bc2adls
  you can also download the .app file here (using object number 835000):

  And click on download file:

• This migration app will automatically copy all the data from the PTE tables to the appsource tables. The following tables will be moved:
  • ADLSE Setup
  • ADLSE Table
  • ADLSE Field
  • ADLSE Table Last Timestamp
  • ADLSE Export Category
  • ADLSE Export Category Table
  • ADLSE Enum Translation
  • ADLSE Enum Translation Lang
  • Deleted Tables Not to Sync
  • ADLSE Deleted Record
  • ADLSE Run
• Important: After installation, you must manually configure the following fields in the ADLSE Setup:
  • Tenant ID: Azure tenant ID
  • Client ID: Azure app registration client ID
  • Client Secret: Azure app registration client secret
• Verify that all your configuration has been migrated correctly
  • Test the ADLSE functionality with the AppSource extension
  • Ensure exports are working as expected
• Uninstall this migration extension (bc2adls_migration)
• Uninstall the old BC2ADLS PTE extension

And then you are fully on the appsource story with automatic updates and no hassle with object numbers etc.
